The Speech Delivered by Ambassador Sarnıç on the Occasion of the Handover Ceremony of Specifically Designed Chairs to the Palestine institutions

Mustafa Sarnıç 10.02.2016

Respected representatives of the relevant Paletinian institutions,

Distinguished guests,

Dear friends,

It is a great pleasure and honour for me to attend such a meaningful ceremony as the General Consul of Turkey in Jerusalem and Ambassador of Turkey to the
State of Palestine.

As you know, we came together today to enjoy the handover ceremony of the specifically designed chairs by TICA which is the world’s leading development
assistance agency.

As a matter of fact, I am proud of observing the completion of such a fascinating project undertook by the TICA Palestine Representation in Ramallah as
soon as the request was dilevered to us by our Palestinian friends.

Hence I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Bülent Korkmaz , the Head of TIKA Palestenian
Representatian in Ramallah and his team for his tireless works they have been conducting till now.

Indeed, I am proud of disclosing on this occasion that the total value of our humanitarian assistance projects all over Palestine has exceeded well above
400 million US dollars during last decade on a variaty of areas ranging from the health sector to education, from the restoration of cultural heritage to
capacity building programmes, notwithstanding our direct humanitarian aid projects.

I believe that this last project will make the life of those in need easier and raise their hope for the future of Palestine, though I hope they will be
less needed.

We would be more pleased to see that all these donations will contribute to the overall strengthening of the health sector in Palestine.

Dear friends, I would like to reiterate my country’s firm commitment that Turkey will not spare any efforts by all means to support the state of Palestine
and Palestinian people.

Before concluding, I would like to thank once again all of you here for inviting us such an auspicious gathering.

Thank you.

Ahmet Rıza Demirer Consul General
